newport beach, ca family photography: the watson's

there is something about brothers that can't be explained.
they have a language of "love" that is only recognizable between the two of them.
they know how to push each other's buttons juuuuuust hard enough to irritate the other, but not hard enough to get in major trouble.
they can beat each other up, steal each other's toys, and yell at each other all day, but then still want to sleep rightnexttoeachother.

there is also a common bond between mothers of boys.
we understand that getting them to sit still, let alone sit still next to each other, is virtually impossible.
we know that the smiles and giggles will turn to screaming and crying in 3..2..1...
we don't judge when the boys have cuts or scrapes or last nights dinner on their face/hands/arms. we've all been there. some of us more than others!

i had a great day exploring with the watson family, and loved seeing the brotherly dynamic is the same in their family as ours!!

nothing like getting photo bombed by your own kids!!

chatsworth, ca family photography: the cirlin's

it's been a while since i blogged last. not because i haven't had anything to blog, but because i've had TOO many to blog (a huge problem, i know!!) i have been blessed this fall season with getting to capture numerous families, and now that i am done shooting for the rest of the year, it's time to start sharing a few favorites from each of them!

i've been friends with the cirlin family for 3 years now, and captured their cute family for the first time last year. it is always fun to photograph friends, especially when you feel comfortable enough to tell them to "stop with the sorority girl head tilt!", and know what to say to bring out the genuine smiles! ;)  we took an hour and went adventuring through one of my favorite "hidden" locations in our area.

here are just a few, i don't want to spoil holiday cards!!

daddy better buy a shotgun to keep the boys away!!
it was like my own little Alice in Wonderland, full of curiosity and wonder

lucky man to have such beauties in his life
